The History Girl
Kelly, also known as The History Girl, is a New Jersey native and graduate of Saint Elizabeth University. She began this blog in 2012 as a way to document her visits to historic sites throughout New Jersey, uncovering forgotten landmarks, fascinating architecture, and untold local stories. Now based in North Carolina, Kelly continues to share her passion for history by exploring and writing about historic and one-of-a-kind places from her travels across the East Coast and beyond.
In addition to running The History Girl, Kelly is a licensed real estate agent in North Carolina with a deep appreciation for historic homes and architecture. She’s also a photography enthusiast who enjoys capturing the beauty of old places and sharing it with others through social media.
A wife, mom of two, and devoted animal lover, Kelly finds joy in bringing her family along on her adventures. Whether it's a quiet graveyard, a roadside oddity, or a centuries-old homestead, she believes every place has a story worth telling.
