Every Monday, I will now highlight a non-profit related to history or the arts, a historical society, preservation group or friends group whose main objective is to promote the historical and artistic history of New Jersey.
This week, I am featuring the Whitesbog Preservation Trust. The Whitesbog Preservation Trust leases Whitesbog Village from the State of New Jersey in an innovative partnership agreement that supports the Trust’s mission to restore, protect and enhance the land, historic sites and buildings and to provide educational materials and interpretive programs about the history, culture and natural environment of Whitesbog.
Whitesbog Preservation Trust’s Vision is to serve as a regional model for historic preservation and public-private partnership, inspiring citizen action, advocacy and stewardship, while becoming nationally recognized as a center for learning about the history, culture, agriculture and natural environment of Whitesbog and the New Jersey Pinelands through cooperative efforts with other organizations and institutions.
